When silver melts it forms a ball, I have taken these little silver balls and hammered them, flattened them all and then with a few I have reticulated. Reticulation is a surface treatment for metals that is created by using heat. The interior of the metal melts before the exterior, taking the heat away before it melts again. It is an exciting process which can create some organic textures. Stud earrings measure 23mm across
