I graduated from Middlesex Polytechnic in 1987. Although specialising in jewellery, I integrated textile elements, particularly knitting, into my work. The handknitted garments were joined and adorned in coloured perspex. My work has always been influenced by Henri Matisse, especially the shapes and colours of his paper cut-outs. Life took its turns and I am now teaching part-time in an infant school whilst establishing my jewellery business. Still influenced by Matisse, I am designing and creating striking & elegant, handmade jewellery. This is made from 100% recycled sterling silver with flashes of coloured shimmering resin. I am currently working on a range of brooches. Due to the processes I use, every piece is unique.
