Timbermere Studio began designing handmade serving and chopping boards in 2019. Ewald is the founder and sole worker of the company at his workshop located in Selby, North Yorkshire.

Ewald prefers to work with wood that has good character and colour and chooses from eight species of hardwood sourced from Britain. He builds both edge-grain and end-grain constructions. The chopping boards are finished with food safe oil and wax and are built to last. Many boards are ready to ship, while others are built to order.

Ewald also restores worn wooden boards, whomever the maker is, through his Board Refresh service of the workshop. There is no charge for the Board Refresh, and gifts are welcome with a note in the box.
