A beautiful depiction of St Elizabeth of Hungary, a female saint by Irish artist Harry Clarke (1889-1931) Clarke is mostly known for his book illustrations, but the stained glass he created with the family business are really something quite special, as this image shows. My digital restoration focuses on bringing back the colour and lustre that have been lost to the ravages of time, without compromising on the vision of the artist. Using modern techniques, I search for beautiful stained glass images, and interpret them for the contemporary home. I use a restorative approach to enhance the image, but keep the essence of it's history. Stand included!
