The Whale Is All Right Sculpture

This piece of power-carved and polished piece of lime wood was sculpted in the resemblance of a Right Whale. Its wooden base was wood turned Cherry, Lime and Oak Timbers. All timbers have been sealed and stained with Danish Oils for durability, but also to highlight their grain which now resembles ocean contours. The rings that the whale rests upon could also suggest the the cyclical nature of our oceans currents and tides. The sculpture is secured into a piece of bedrock stone once form the ocean that features fossilised crustaceans within it. The stone rests upon a gold pillow filled with recycled glass powder once created from sand. Tim has gone to such lengths to express the Whale within the ocean. The Whale is all Right Sculpture weighs just under 30 kg size H 64cm x W 45cm x D 54.5cm
