Lizzie Brown is a ceramic designer and maker specialising in handbuilt porcelain. Each piece is individually made by hand with lots of love and attention to detail, no two pieces are exactly the same. Birds, hares, bears and foxes are a prominent feature in her work interweaved with flowers, landscapes and patterns. She is a natural collector of 'things' which she loves to recycle within her work. Found objects, screws, bolts, nails and handmade sprigs are also used to impress into the clay to give a strong textile quality to her work. All her glazes are developed from her own experiments with colour. Her work is fired two or three times and lustred with gold in order to create a finish that is unique to her work.
