This hand painted stretched canvas was painted by the artist after entering fatherhood and working in a primary school. Tim uses simplified representations of the birds swifts in this artworks to symbolise children playing. He makes comparisons in his artworks to children's development, though studies made on paper of these swifts representing their playful and acrobatic flight with abstract colour combinations. This painting conveys an optimistic message to overcome barriers in learning and in life. Tim only paints using Sennelier Oil paints and sticks because they are the same paints used by Vincent Van Gough. Tim stretches all his canvases himself using 8oz cotton duck canvas sized 67cm x 48cm. He signs his work with a date of completion on the reverse of the canvas or frame.
